The ropes used by Kan Takemura (@kantake_jumprope) in 2024

We are introducing the ropes used by Kan Takemura (@kantake_jumprope) in 2024, an athlete who has an official sponsorship contract with Jump Rope Store OK ROPE.

 Freestyle Rope

Rope (Handle)

OK Freestyle Pro 2.5 (OK Long Handle)

Mr. Kan Takemura uses the latest freestyle rope with wire core, OK Freestyle Pro 2.5, developed in collaboration with OK ROPE.

Mr. Takemura's comment: "Compared to the existing 3.2mm freestyle rope with wire core, the OK Freestyle Pro 2.5 is thinner and more dense, allowing for faster rotation with less effort. It is recommended for high-difficulty freestyle techniques such as quintuple and sextuple unders. After switching to this rope, I successfully performed a level 11 technique."

Performance and Battle Rope

Rope (Handle):

OK Freestyle Pro 2.5 and OK Freestyle Pro 3.2 (OK Long Handle)

In addition to the OK Freestyle Pro 2.5, Mr. Takemura uses the OK Freestyle Pro 3.2, which is the standard for freestyle rope with wire core.

Mr. Takemura's comment: "I have been using this rope after transitioning from the freestyle rope (FR-2) in April 2023. It is a balanced rope that combines ease of handling and speed. It is suitable for quadruple and quintuple under techniques, as well as releases and wraps."

Single Rope Speed Rope

Rope and Handle

Rope: US1.3 (Teflon-coated Ultra Speed wire rope)

Grip: Wire Rope R1

Mr. Takemura's comment: "I have been using the 1.3mm wire rope after transitioning from the 1.5mm wire rope in January 2023. Compared to the 1.5mm wire rope, it is lighter, allowing for faster rotation with less effort. It is recommended for advanced competitive athletes who can achieve over 100 jumps in 30 seconds and over 500 jumps in 3 minutes. After switching to this wire rope, I immediately improved my record by 1 jump in 30 seconds and 6 jumps in 3 minutes."

Warm-up

OK Hard Beaded Rope (Long Handle)

OK Soft Beaded Rope (Long Handle)

Takemura's comment: "For speed warm-ups, I use two types of beaded ropes: the hard beaded rope (heavier) and the soft beaded rope (lighter). Using beaded ropes helps warm up the arm muscles while practicing correct hand positioning and force application."
